InterContinental’s Cyber Week Sale – Up to 30% Off Hotel Stays

It’s the week after Thanksgiving, and if my email inbox is any indication, the world is awash in limited-time sales. Which means my Delete key is getting quite a workout.

Snooze-you-lose travel sales (flash sales, Black Friday sales, Cyber Monday sales, and so on) are bad marketing and a consumer disservice. A one-day sale on sweaters or stereos, OK. But travel is different. It takes planning. And it’s expensive. Discounts are great. But give people adequate time to consider them, and how they might fit into their schedules and their finances.

Unlike many travel suppliers’ one-day-only offers rolling out this week, InterContinental Hotels Group’s so-called Cyber Week sale is a mix, of sales in effect all week and more short-lived offers. For most travelers, it’s the week-long offers that are both compelling and actionable.

IHG’s Cyber Week sale is in effect through December 2. Among the deals on offer:

• Discounts on hotel stays
• Discounts on merchandise awards
• Discounts on cash-and-points stays
• Daily auctions
• 100% bonus on purchased IHG Rewards points

Some deals are available to all; others are only offered to IHG Rewards members. And of those offered to program members, some are personalized. So it will behoove you to log in with your Rewards credentials to review the full roster of deals.
