Knowing how to get around a new city ahead of time will help make your visit easier. While in Sitges, here are some of the best tips on transportation.

T-10 Bus Card

If you’re interested in using the public transportation services in Sitges, the T-10 Card may be the best option for you. There are different kinds of cards available though, so you need to know a bit more about it.

If you intend to travel between Barcelona, you’ll need a 3-Zone Card. However, if you want to remain inside the city, you can purchase a 1-Zone Card and you’ll be fine. The reason you want to purchase a T-10 Card is because it not only gives you 10 trips on the card, it can be used by different people, so if you are a travel buddy or are in a larger group, this card should be extremely helpful.  The card also makes it possible to travel and to use different modes of transportation without paying more. So, if you need to move from the larger rail system to the metro line, you won’t be charged more.

Travel to/from the Airport

Looking to make your way to or from the airport? The Sitges/El Prat Airport is accessible via bus or train. Of course, you can use a taxi, but that likely will run you 50 euros, which is a bit much for a 20-minute ride. Instead, you can go by train, which will cost you 2.50 euros (it will take you an hour, but the amount of money you save is well worth it).  The bus is slightly faster at 40 minutes and will cost you 2.85 euros. Basically, you need to decide which is better for you.

Late-Night Bus

There is a late-night bus that runs between Barcelona and Sitges. If you’d like to just sleep your way from one location to the other, this is a great way to go, and an inexpensive one. Plus, the T-10 Card works for the late-night bus. Just another reason why you need to purchase such a card.

Busy Train

The train is a great way to travel, but it also fills up quickly during peak hours. Arrive early in order to grab a seat.
