Nesebar Transportation
Nessebar is a seaside resort that is tucked onto the shores of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. The town is well connected by bus and boat, and tourists will find many means of transportation around the area.
Boat
Visitors hoping to travel on the Black Sea can take a small ship from Sunny Beach or from the two ports of Nessebar. These ships will take you out on the waters, which is favorite activity among tourists. The boat rides will also take you among the other resorts along the Black Sea coast, including to Burgas. Some of the boats are fairly simple, while others have comfortable seating and even fully stocked bars. Unfortunately, these boat rides don’t operate in the winter due to the cold. Finally, visitors should be aware that the Black Sea can be a little rough at times. The boat rides aren’t recommended for those who suffer from sea-sickness.
The Little Train
Nessebar isn’t very big, and you can easily walk everywhere on foot. However, if you don’t feel like it, there are little trains that will take you from one part of town to the other in less than 10 minutes. The rides are very affordable and cost less than one Euro. If you’re hoping to get a good view of the town, the train will take you from the new town to the gates of old Nessebar. This route follows the panorama walk that winds along the coast, providing riders with a picturesque view.
Bus
Nessebar has regular bus connections to both Burgas and Pomorie that depart every 20 minutes. You can also travel to Sunny Beach on a bus that departs every 15 minutes, or choose to leave to Varna. However, visitors should keep in mind that the bus to Varna only leaves five times per day. Regardless of the bus you’re taking, you can purchase a ticket from the bus conductor or from the driver.
