If you’re looking for a good brew in Belgium, Bottelje has several hundred types of beer in a classy space. Some patrons note that it can be a little quiet making for an overzealous bar staff, but its selection can’t be beat. Boulevard at Hotel Empire and Manuscript are both noted to be friendly and full of regulars, so if you like getting conversations started with the bar staff and fellow patrons then this is a good stop. Zeegeuzen, Brazzaville and Cosy Corner Bar may get a little rowdy at night but if you want to watch the game with a lively bunch, check them out. Most patrons note that many of the pubs here can have inconsistent experiences (e.g., dead in winter, crowded in summer.) For a more historical experience try the Spanish Inn for a night of singing to live music and dancing in a spot that dates back to the Spanish Inquisition. Most bars will have a space dedicated to dancing in Oostende, even if it’s just a small portion of the bar.

For a change of pace, try Tati’s Jazz Club for a more relaxing experience. Langestraat is a club recommended for those who like to start their night late.

The Casino-Kursaal is open for your late-night gambling fix. The two most popular games to play here are roulette and blackjack. If you were ever going to spot a celebrity high-roller, this is the place to go. There’s also a restaurant in the casino if you need a late-night snack to keep you going.
