Things To Do in Warmbaths, South Africa

Warmbaths Things To Do

Also known as Bela Bela, Warmbaths is a small South African town. Widely revered for the regional hot springs, today it is a resort destination with parks and access to the naturally warm waters.

It’s also home of the Forever Warmbaths Resort, the place to go head for a vacation in the warm sun and warmer water. When not enjoying the thermal baths. there are also other activities on dry land like tennis and a safari.

Hit the Water

The warm water can be enjoyed in many different ways. There are slides for kids of all ages that allow people to slide right in as well as a kiddie pool and a Jacuzzi. Many slides have inflatable options so they’re even safer. If you want to cool off, head for the cold water wave pool. You can also try paddle boats and even go water skiing.

On the Ground

When you’re done with the waters, head for fun on land. Enjoy a round of mini golf, drive on track of go karts, take a ride on mini quad bikes or just laze in the sun all day. If you like sports, you can play squash, head for the tennis courts or try your hand at target shooting. There’s also a spa service where you can leave your stress behind and take advantage of services such a manicures and massages.

The Game Reserve

Right next to the resort lies the regional game reserve. Head here to see lots of local game animals in between swimming and sports. There are native South African species all over the reserve like sable antelope, red hartebeest, graceful waterbuck, herds of African giraffes and lots of impalas. Admire the rare white rhinos. One of the very special ways to explore the reserve is on horseback. Participants are given a horse to ride and the follow in the footsteps of a guide. No riding experience is required. After that, you’ll head out in the reserve for a two hour ride across the grounds of the area. The animals are on the move so you can see something different every time you go riding. A trained guide will help you understand the wild animals in front of you.
