Italy What to Pack
Knowing what to pack for your upcoming Italy vacation can make the trip more enjoyable. Always figure out what the weather will be like during your trip and pack clothing appropriate for that weather. Additionally, here are a few of the must have items you should pack as you prepare for your Italian vacation.
Luggage
Bring a backpack or rucksack along. It’s easy to carry when you are out and about, especially if you’re planning on touring numerous parts of the country.
A Restaurant Guide
Food is a very serious business in Italy, and every year a plethora of guides covering the country as a whole, as well as individual cities, are published. You can get guides ranging from directories of the very best restaurants for that year to listings for the top pizza and pastry places. This can help you find the best places to eat in the city. So pick up a few restaurant guides and carry them with you.
Clothing
What to pack for Italy naturally depends on what time of year you’re headed or what you have in store for your trip. From casual tees to snow gear, be sure to pack what’s most needed on your adventure.
Clothes to Pack
The Right Footwear
You will do a lot of walking in Italy. Many of the town centers are traffic-free, meaning you can only see them by walking. As such, you will want socks that fit your foot without bunching up and shoes that are comfortable.
Buy quality, supportive, and comfortable shoes. Buy them well before you leave and walk in them often. Blisters or sore feet can ruin your time in Italy. The only way to avoid this is preparing ahead.
An Electricity Converter
Pack an electrical adapter. The voltage in Italy is 220-230. If you are coming from the States, where it is 120, you will find you need to convert the electricity and adapt the plugs. If you fail to bring this, everything from blow dryers to chargers won’t work. Do not forget to pack this.
Electronics to Pack
