Famous for its ancient roman ruins, Belek, Turkey is situated on the southern tip of the Mediterranean coast. You will have lots to do when visiting Belek including touring the ancient ruins, having fun at the water park, and swimming with the dolphins.

The Roman and Greek Ruins

• Amphitheater – The Greco-Roman Aspendos amphitheater holds over 15,000 people. It has been well-maintained and you can travel up and down the huge steps, as did the Romans during the era of Emperor Marcus Aurelius. Today the structure still entertains thousands of visitors with operas and festivals. Be careful where you step when you come here. There are lots of snakes hidden in tall grassy areas.
• Perge – The remains of Greek and Roman towns lie in Perge. The city has been hit with tremendous earthquakes, but most of the ruins are still standing. When strolling through the area, be mindful of the lizards, chameleons, and other reptiles that live here. It can also become extremely hot, so sunscreen or a large hat is advisable.

Water Fun in Belek

• Troy Aqua – The numerous slides at Troy Aqua are great for water lovers. When you go, you should expect it to be extremely busy. The rides can get tight and become very crowded at the bottom. This does leave little room for play. Consider planning your vacation when the park will not be so busy.
• Dolphinarium – The Dolphinarium is part of Troy Aqua. There is a ‎€25 euro entrance fee where you will see a dolphin and walrus show. For an additional fee, you can also swim with these mammals.
