Whether you’re strolling the beaches or walking the trails, Caloundra’s natural beauty has much to offer.

Beaches

Bulcock Beach starts at the esplanade where you can see people fishing, but you have to walk another 200 meters before you reach the sandy area. At low tide there are warm pools for young children to splash around in. Along the esplanade there are grassy areas for picnicking and plenty of benches to sit on.

Shelly beach is a beautiful little beach nestled between Moffat Headland and Kings Beach.
There are rocks on either side with the Beach in the center. At the southern end of Shelly Beach is rocky Caloundra Head, also known as Wickham Point.

Further on are the sandy beaches at Kings Beach, which has a patrolled beach, surfing and snorkeling. There are picnic and barbecue facilities, an ocean pool at the northern end of Kings Beach, and a boat ramp nearby.

Trails

The Coastal Pathway is divided into 11 sections, each is good for one day’s walking. The Caloundra section is a 9 km stretch that passes outstanding scenery meandering along Caloundra’s beaches from Bells Creek in the south to Point Cartwright in the north. Along the route you can see lighthouses, beaches, creeks, lakes, and surfing spots. The council spent over 4 million dollars developing the route.

The Headland walkway is a lovely walk from Moffat Beach to King’s beach. As you walk along the path, look down – here you will find bronze plaques with the names of personnel that have served in past military conflicts. The ANZAC War Memorial is located here too.
The views of the Ocean and in the distance of Caloundra, King’s Beach and the Glass House mountains are lovely from the high track.
