Sevan Transportation

Sevan is a resort town in Armenia. While the city lacks public transportation, you can hop on a bus, hail a taxi, or rent car without too much trouble.

Bus

Buses are perhaps the most affordable way to get around Sevan. Bus stops can be found throughout the town, and they offer routes to several nearby cities. While in Sevan, purchase a map and locate the stops around your hotel.

Taxi

Taxis can be found in the city center and in the outskirts of town. Travel by taxi may be a little more expensive than by bus, but this can be mitigated if you find a friendly group of travelers going to the same place. Taxis can be difficult to track down in the early morning hours and late at night, so prepare accordingly.

Rental Car

If you fly into Sevan, you should be able to find a rental car at the airport. This is will likely be more expensive than a taxi or a bus, depending on how mobile you are when in town. Rental cars are no doubt more convenient and will save you from waiting in line at the bus station and struggling to track down a taxi at rush hour. When in Sevan, drive with caution. The roads in some areas are in disrepair and the speed limits, street signs, and driving customs may be very different than where you come from. As you would anywhere else, always keep your rental documents and license on hand.
