According to travelers, renting a car is the recommended way to travel to Morong because you’ll have more freedom getting around during your visit. However, there are some other options too.

Getting to Morong from Balanga

Getting to Morong from Balanga takes a couple of hours on a local bus. This is not the most comfortable ride as it’s very warm and these buses don’t typically have air conditioning. Buses also may not run on a regular timetable so, if you want to ride the local bus, you’ll need to consider this if you have a schedule to keep. Another option is to take a minibus or a jeep from the main terminal at the airport in Balanga. Alternately, you can hire a driver with a van. All of these methods of transportation will get you straight to Morong.

Driving Information

If you do decide to drive yourself, the travel time from Manila to Anvaya Cove depends on the route you take. If you take the San Fernando-Olongapo Road to Subic Freeport then to Morong Gate and Anvaya Cove, it could take up to four hours because you’ll likely encounter traffic. If taking the SCTEX from Angeles City in Clark Freeport and go to Subic Freeport onto Anvaya Cove, it takes less than three hours.

Boats for Beach Hopping

You can hire a local boatman to bring you to other beaches or sites where you might like to snorkel. Some tourists recommend it’s best to coordinate these plans with your resort so, if anything unfortunate happens to you or you do not arrive back as scheduled, the manager knows the details of your plans.

Upon arrival, some people also ride motorcycles to get around.
