Getting to Sarajevo By Plane

The price can vary depending on where you’re flying in from. If your flying on Turkish Airlines, expect to pay a bit more. Sarajevo’s airport is fairly small which makes going through immigration simple. You also do not have to wait long on your luggage.

Trolleybus

The trolleybus is an efficient way to get from place to place. Bus 103 has routes between Austria Square and Dobrinja. The cost for a bus ticket is 1.80 BKM. You can also save 0.20 BKM by purchasing ahead of time.

Tram

The tram is perfect for tourists. Tickets can be purchased at multiple locations such as bus stations, ticket shops, and on the driver’s buses. For a one-way ticket, expect to pay 1.60 BAM. If you are planning on traveling to multiple locations throughout the day, you have the option to purchase the daily ticket.

Keep your ticket on you since there’s a chance the ticket inspector could come on board and if you don’t have your ticket handy for validation, you could be fined 26.60 KM.

Train

This is a popular form of transportation especially since the fare is cheap. The trains travel to Banka Luka, Belgrade, and Mostar. While the trains are not as fast as the ones in Britain, you’re in for a comfy and clean ride.
