If you don’t like crowds, consider scheduling a visit for the summer instead when the crowds thin out.

Parking in Salem 

Driving is generally very easy in Salem. However, it’s not always easy to find a parking spot. Many side streets have meters. Make sure you have enough coins before you leave your car. Metered parking is generally only good for less than half a day. Some hotels offer free parking you can use as you explore the town on foot.
