Mazatlan Nightlife – Clubs, Bars & Nightlife Tips

Mazatlan Nightlife

As a resort town, Mazatlan is known for its sandy beaches and big-game fishing, but it also has a reputation as one of Mexico’s best destinations for nightlife. If you’re planning a trip to this Pacific Coast paradise, here are some tips for Mazatlan nightlife.

Bora Bora in Mazatlan

The undisputed ruler of Mazatlan’s bar scene is Bora Bora. Located at the north end of the beach, it is a 2,000-capacity bar, mostly open-air dance club. Wild and crazy but entertaining if you like that sort of thing! Bora Bora is the best place in which you will find people from all ages, nationalities and status, having the greatest time of their lives. Bora Bora is focused on total freedom, there are no limits, dancing on the tables, top of the bar counter or high cages is a go!

Bora Bora also has a pool. But don’t get caught having sex in the pool. Otherwise, you’ll get a tap on the shoulder and have to get out and explain yourself to the police.  You could even get arrested. So don’t even be tempted.  Closed toed shoes are also recommended since beer is served in bottles, and sometimes broken glass may end up in and around the pool.

Senior Frogs in Mazatlan

This is a restaurant that’s so popular and successful, that it developed into a national chain throughout Mexico, with additions in California, Florida, Spain and Brazil. Each is a little different (including the name), but they all have a party emphasis, featuring fun, good food and good service. However, Mazatlan’s Senor Frogs is the original, in many ways the best, and really shouldn’t be missed. Every night is a party. The food is good and the dress code is casual.

Other Nightlife in Mazatlan

Fiestaland is a huge complex of party locations. Six different venues are here including karaoke at the Canta Bar. A piano bar, dance bar, sports and dining restaurants and Valentino’s Disco Club. The party starts at 9 pm and goes till 4 am. The setting is a Moorish Castle built out on a jutting rock into the ocean. Gus Gus is an open air cabaret style restaurant in the heart of the Golden Zone. What makes Gus Gus so special is the staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and the service is second to none.
