Fall Creek Falls State Park Things to Do
Fall Creek Falls State Resort Park is a beautiful state park in the U.S. state of Tennessee. Visitors will find many things to do when walking its many paths and trails.
Viewing the Falls
At 256-feet high, Fall Creek Falls is the highest free-falling waterfall in the eastern U.S. It is the highlight of any visit to Fall Creek Falls State Park. You can also see the 250-foot high Coon Creek Falls that sits right beside it.
There are also three waterfalls to see at Cane Creek Falls near the Betty Dunn Nature Center. Cane Creek Cascades is a 45-foot cascading waterfall that’s behind the Nature Center. A suspension bridge crosses the river above the waterfall. Once across, carefully make your way down the rocks to get a good view of the falls. A little further downstream, you can see the top of Cane Creek Falls. Just past the cascades is an overlook that provides a good view of both Cane Creek and Rockhouse Falls.
Beyond the Falls
Millikan’s Overlook is one of several scenic vistas you will find along the Gorge Scenic Drive Motor Nature Trail, offering panoramic views of Cane Creek Gorge . Visitors will see Cane Creek as it passes out of the park. If you’re in the mood for swimming, you can visit one of the two swimming holes in the park.
