Those Colors and That Eye Candy!
We had a great family vacation in Yellowstone National Park with fantastic scenic views of surrounding areas too like the Galatians Mountains and Grand Tetons. We went in the month of July to escape the desert heat of Arizona in our RV. The national park was full so we camped in the national forest in Montana right outside the northern entrance of the park. The temperatures got into the chilly and brisk 30’s over night but we shed our long sleeves as we got into the park and the sun got warmer throughout the day’s sightseeing. There were ranger programs for the kids, hiking, bird watching, flora and fauna viewing and waterfalls and colors that were unimaginable. The park was so big that it provided plenty to see without crowds in that it was so spacious, nobody was rubbing elbows with either the humans or animals but rather enjoyed each other’s peaceful coexistence. We had gone to Mount Rushmore first on our road to Yellowstone when we were driving 4th grade penpals back home to Iowa. We travelled through the Black Hills of South Dakota, the Badlands, and 13 other US states . The badlands looked like the surface of the moon. The black hills took you back to the cowboy days during the gold rush time. We even rode a sled down a mountain in the summertime on concrete rather than snow.
Yellowstone’s amazing colors was from the azure ponds ,boiling pots and hot springs which made the bacteria and vegetation that could grow in such acidic waters, give off fantastic colors. Yellowstone National Park had unbelievable colors of the pools, rock formation, animals and vegetation. Swimming in the great Salt Lake of Utah was amazing in that we could float without any difficulty. Even the car breakdown in Las Vegas was not too much of a hardship in that we went to all the casinos like Circus Circus which had rides and amusements for children as well as adults.
These pictures and text do the experience no justice. One has to be there to take it all in for themselves. It is entertainment far better than Hollywood or anyone else could give us! Every season there is special. The cost and what you get for the price is quite reasonable and unique and a must for all. It was a great learning and spiritual experience for all These treasures in this section of the USA are hidden spectacles if we don’t get to see them and we are glad we did and recommend this for everyone of any age , great family fun!
