Financial site WalletHub analyzed safety data for all 50 states to determine a list of the safest states for Thanksgiving travel this year. The survey is based on COVID-19 data as well as other general safety factors (like crime rates and DUI statistics for November).
Our take? The safest state for Thanksgiving this year is the one you already live in, where you can spend Thanksgiving in your own home and with just your pod.
According to WalletHub, the top ten safest states are:

- New Hampshire
- New York
- Washington
- Virginia
- Massachusetts
- Hawaii
- New Jersey
- Maryland
