In the latest preferred marketing partnership among major travel suppliers, Hertz will award elite status in its Gold Plus Rewards program to elite members of Delta’s SkyMiles program, as follows:
- Delta Diamond and Platinum elites receive Hertz President’s Circle status
- Delta Gold elites receive Hertz Five Star status
SkyMiles members must register to receive Hertz status, which can take up to eight weeks to be reflected in their Gold Plus Rewards accounts.
Hertz elite perks include dedicated check-in and space-available car upgrades, so complimentary status amounts to a nice value-add for Delta elites, and is a nice complement to a similar relationship Delta has with Starwood.
