Airlines don’t have a great reputation for dealing with animals flying as checked baggage. So it’s no surprise that a dog managed to escape from a flight at Newark Airport.
According to the New York Post, Henry, a dachshund dog, darted off a Lufthansa flight as the cargo was being offloaded. Henry made it on to the tarmac, where he proceeded to run around for an hour, eluding Port Authority Police who tried to catch him.
Frustrated officials let Henry’s owner on to the tarmac, who was able to safely catch him.
