We (don’t) want to believe! The Huffington Post reports that the British Civil Aviation Authority has taken an interest in reports of UFOs from pilots, air traffic controllers, and flight crew. Apparently, there have been enough incidents reported that it warrants an investigation. Check out the picture posted by a pilot on the Huffington Post, and decide if yourself if we’re alone in the skies.
We want whatever drugs this passenger was taking for our next long flight! Gadling reports that a woman on a flight from Pakistan to France slept so deeply that she didn’t wake up when her plane landed in Paris—and ended up back at her starting airport in Lahore. The 7,700-mile round-trip took 18 hours, including a two-hour stopover at Charles de Gaulle Airport and a brief stop in Italy. This story raises so many questions, like how did the plane’s cleaning crew (or flight crew) not notice the extra passenger during the stopover or second round of boarding, how did the woman not wake up, and what sleeping pills was she on?
And finally, we regret to bring you a story containing a phrase we hoped we’d never have to write (and you’d never have to read): “a dildo covered in greasy foul-smelling lubricant.” Gawker reports that Christopher Bridgeman and Martin Borger are suing United/Continental for “intentional infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy, and negligence.” The couple claims that baggage handlers took the sex toy from their luggage, covered it in the aforementioned lubricant, and taped it to the top of the bag, before sending it out to the baggage carousel where a number of passengers saw the toy. The couple alleges that they were targeted because they were men, saying that baggage handlers obviously knew the bag belonged to a male due to the contents of the luggage and the name tag.
