Top Five Washington, D.C., Hotel Values

Want to receive stories like this every day? Subscribe to our free Deal Alert newsletter.

In October, I reported on five hidden hotel values in New York City, and some of you requested a follow-up focusing on Washington, D.C. No problem! With numerous properties both inside the city proper and just on the outskirts, choosing a hotel in D.C. may seem overwhelming at first. But you’ll soon see that finding good value just means taking some time to sort through the many options available. Luckily, a former local (me) is here to help you.

I’ve compiled five properties that will help you make the most of your trip to the nation’s capital. Like my coverage of New York and Las Vegas, these hotel picks offer reasonable pricing and a little something special to make them stand out from the crowd. This could be a stellar location, rooms with unique features, or top-notch customer service. To appeal to a broad spectrum of travelers, I’ve selected hotels both in downtown Washington and just outside the city limits. All have great access, though, to the best D.C. has to offer. Take a look at my five picks, and be sure to suggest your own hotel favorites in the comments section below.{{{SmarterBuddy|align=left}}}Residence Inn Washington, D.C./Capitol
