Between the increased cost of air travel and the recession of the U.S. economy, 2008 was a year many travelers cut back on flying. This New Year’s, I believe lots of people (including myself) were thinking more about bidding 2008 good riddance rather than looking forward to a prosperous 2009, because the outlook for the future, economically at least, is still uncertain. Nevertheless, the SmarterTravel.com editors want to know what your plans are for travel in 2009. Are you planning to hold off on taking that vacation until further notice or are the discounts being offered by some desperate travel providers tempting you to hit the road?
Let us know what you’re thinking by filling out our brief four-question survey. (You’ll be briefly redirected to another site.) We’ll post the results in a future Today in Travel blog.
We hand-pick everything we recommend and select items through testing and reviews. Some products are sent to us free of charge with no incentive to offer a favorable review. We offer our unbiased opinions and do not accept compensation to review products. All items are in stock and prices are accurate at the time of publication.
