As American goes, so goes United. And vice versa.
It was no surprise, then, that United matched American’s [% 2553589 | | double elite-mile bonus %].
Except for a later start date, United’s offer is identical to American’s: double elite-qualifying miles for United, United Express, and Ted flights completed between April 21 and June 15. Registration is required.
With two of the “Big Six” now offering frequent flyers an easier road to elite perks, or to reaching a higher elite tier, it’s likely that at least some of the other legacy carriers will feel compelled to do the same.
Stay tuned for more elite promotions.
