Could Charleston, West Virginia, have its own Skybus clone by the end of the year? If Skybus founder John Weikle has his way, the answer could very well be “yes.”
This USA Today article has the details, but the short version of the story is that Weikle wants to start a Skybus-style airline that would offer cheap base fares but charge extra for pretty much everything else.
The airline would offer point-to-point service and no connecting routes in up to 15 markets not already served by major carriers. The big question is, whether or not the new airline will adopt Skybus’ 10-seats-available-for-$10 policy?
