The top five frequent flyer deals for February 2008

There are many, many promotions. But there are only a few really, really good ones.

In this monthly roundup, we highlight the five most lucrative offers currently available to members of airline and hotel loyalty programs.

1. More American miles for dining

Through March 31, AAdvantage members can earn 250 bonus miles for every qualified dine of $25 or more, including tax and tip. This bonus is open to Online and VIP Members only.

2. Best Western doubles the points for spring stays

Through April 6, members of Gold Crown Club International will earn double miles or points for their second and subsequent stays at Best Western hotels. Guests who are members of both Gold Crown Club and Auto Club will earn triple miles or points.

3. Double TripRewards points for stays

Through May 15, TripRewards members can earn double points or airline miles for stays at participating AmeriHost Inn, Baymont Inn & Suites, Days Inn, Howard Johnson, Knights Inn, Ramada, Super 8, Travelodge (U.S. hotels only), Wingate, and Wyndham hotels. The bonus may be earned up to four times during the promotion period.

4. Starwood deal: Stay often, earn more

Through March 31, members of the Starwood Preferred Guest program can earn up to 6,000 bonus points for qualifying stays at the same North America Starwood hotel—1,000 bonus points for the first stay, 2,000 for the second, and 3,000 for the third stay at the same hotel. A maximum of 6,000 bonus points may be earned at each participating hotel.

5. Third night free at W hotels

Charge two nights at a participating W hotel to an American Express card, get the third night free.

This offer is valid through March 30, for arrivals Thursdays through Saturdays, except for the following hotels that are open for arrivals all days: W Atlanta – Perimeter, W Chicago – City Center, W Chicago – Lakeshore, W Dallas – Victory, W Honolulu, W Montreal, W New Orleans, W New Orleans – French Quarter, W San Diego, W Seattle, and W Seoul.
