New cruise website for New York cruisers

Since the invention of homeport cruising, New York’s ports have gotten a new lease on life. More ships are sailing from the area’s three ports (Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Cape Liberty in Bayonne, NJ), some of them year-round. To help you plan a cruise from the Big Apple, veteran cruise journalist Anne Campbell recently launched the informative website Cruising From New York.

The website provides information on the three ports, including parking and transportation information. You can look up departure calendars, itineraries, and reviews of the cruise lines and ships that sail out of New York. A “Best of New York” section provides travel tips for guests spending some time in the city pre- or post-cruise, and an online forum allows readers to ask questions and post comments (though currently most of the threads are from Campbell herself).
