The holiday season brings packed flights, busy airports, and messy weather, all leading to major headaches at the airport. If you’re one of the unlucky ones forced to contend with a canceled flight, you need a game plan in place to get re-booked quickly. As simple as it may seem, your cell phone can be your first line of defense.
As soon as you’re notified that your flight is canceled, get in line to be re-booked. Don’t stop there, though—use your cell phone to call the airline’s central reservations number and try to change your flight over the phone. With a few dozen people in line, you may be re-booked and on your way before your fellow travelers get to the counter.
Always bring your phone charger or an extra battery in case you’re stranded at the airport for a long time—that way, you can stay in touch with family and contact the airline’s phone reservations agents, too.
