Crystal strives to become more family-friendly

Back in December, I wrote how [% 13516 | | Crystal %] was striving to become more [% 2282275 | | family-friendly %]. The cruise line is indeed making good on its promise. Its most recent move in this direction was to add more third berths to its staterooms.

Parents often share a stateroom with their kids, but not every room is equipped with a third berth, which is typically a pullout sofa or pull-down bunk bed. To accommodate more families on the Crystal Serenity during the summer and holiday cruise seasons, Crystal has added 20 new in-cabin sofas that pull out to single beds.

This 15 percent increase in third berths gives the Serenity 157 cabins that can sleep a third guest. Cruisers can find these staterooms on every deck and in every cabin category, giving families a variety of options from which to choose. Each deck also features connecting cabins and suites for families looking for a little more space.

If you want to take the family on a luxury sailing, your kids can actually try out Crystal’s third-berth options for free on two Thanksgiving sailings. On the November 14 departure of the Crystal Symphony and the November 19 voyage of the Crystal Serenity, kids ages 11 and younger can [% 2399343 | | sail free %] as the third passenger in a stateroom.
