Food is an essential component of any cruise, so cruise lines must stay on top of dining trends and present new culinary options to their guests. With the debut of two new ships this month, Princess is introducing new dining room menus and other food service.
The new menus will feature innovative dishes, ethnic cuisine, and more light fare. Look for ingredients such as pomegranates, figs, ginger, and exotic mushrooms, as well as food inspired by Mediterranean, Asian-fusion, and Latin American cooking. The dishes will not be grouped in specified courses, allowing guests to mix and match their dinner options. Plus, late risers can enjoy breakfast food at lunchtime.
Other enhancements include homemade pizza added to the room-service menu, warm cookies and milk in the afternoon, and upgrades to the specialty restaurants and buffets.
You can find the new menus and culinary choices on the Emerald Princess when it debuts on April 11 and the Royal Princess when it debuts on April 19. The enhancements will be rolled out fleetwide by the end of next year.
