With liquids now banned from carry-on luggage, travelers who don’t want to check baggage have a real problem when it comes to basic toiletries. Among the banned items are shampoo, conditioner, spray bottles and cans, gel deodorant, hair spray, hair gel, bath gel, mouthwash, toothpaste, saline solution, make-up remover, some cosmetics such as liquid foundations and mascara, and nail polish and remover.
Some hotels offer many of these items free to guests, and a few are taking extra steps to help people cope with the new restrictions by offering an even wider list of complimentary toiletries. Though offerings may change as restrictions are tightened or relaxed, here’s a list of what some of the major hotel chains in the U.S. are making available to guests right now.
