Luxury cruises mostly cater to the grownups. But Regent Seven Seas is reaching out to the kids with special programs on select voyages of the Paul Gauguin.
Nine cruises departing between June 10 and August 23, as well as the December 20 and 29 sailings, will offer the “Ambassadors of the Environment” kids’ program. Regent hopes to educate its young passengers through shore excursions, films, special dinners, and games. Naturalists will teach the children about the importance of coral reefs, sustainable lifestyles, and Polynesian culture. Activities range from visiting pearl farms, rescuing turtles, snorkeling, hiking through forests, watching dolphins, and making local crafts.
Enrollment in the “Ambassadors of the Environment” program is $199 per child (in addition to cruise costs). Jealous parents may join their children on select excursions for an additional fee.
