Regent and Cordon Bleu present culinary shore trips

Your culinary enrichment shouldn’t end when you roll off the food fest we call a cruise. Regent Seven Seas agrees. Regent’s cruises feature the only Le Cordon Bleu restaurant at sea and hands-on “Classe Culinaire des Croisieres” workshops. Now the line has introduced pre- and post-cruise packages that continue the gastronomic experience.

The cruise line will offer “Master Class” trips with select 2006 sailings. These land packages will focus on the regional cuisines of Paris, Tokyo, and Sydney. The Paris trip includes a visit to the Le Cordon Bleu school for a French cooking demonstration, a champagne cooking demonstration at the Chateau de Briottieris Angers, and a Parisian market trip. The three-night package costs $3,975 for the pre-cruise program or $3,895 for the post-cruise program. Prices are per person based on double occupancy.

The Tokyo package features a visit to Tokyo’s famous fish market, a cooking demonstration and Sake tasting at the Le Cordon Bleu school, and dinner with a chef. The two-night trip costs $1,995 per person based on double occupancy.

In Sydney, the program includes a visit to the fish market, a cooking demonstration and wine tasting at the Sydney Fish School, and a Sydney harbor cruise. The two-night pre-cruise tour is $1,495 per person based on double occupancy.
