Low-cost innovator JetBlue has unveiled another way it’s separating itself from the competition, this time on transcontinental red-eye flights. The airline is now offering free spa kits, reports the Associated Press via Salon.com. The kits include eye masks, moisturizer, lip balm, ear plugs, and a promotional offer from the Bliss spa company.
Eric Brinker, JetBlue’s director of product development and customer experience, tells the AP he expects the spa amenities will help the airline sell a few more seats per red-eye. And that, he says, “could cover the cost of our entire station rent at Long Beach airport for the year.”
