In response to reader requests and the increasing number of fees for international travel, we have created this downloadable PDF chart as a reference for you. Like our other charts—Airline Fees: The Ultimate Guide, Carry-On Bags: The Ultimate Guide, Frequent Flyer Fees: The Ultimate Guide, and Tipping: The Ultimate Guide—we’ll continue to update this chart regularly.
Note: Many carriers in Europe operate baggage allowances on the weight concept, which means that passengers are allowed to check any number of bags, as long as the combined weight is less than the guidelines stipulate. For example, if an airline allows passengers to check 20 kilograms of luggage, travelers can have one 20-kilo bag, four five-kilo bags, or two 10-kilo bags.
