Amman Shopping
Whether you’re looking to pick up the perfect souvenir or a once in a lifetime item, Amman shopping options are excellent. Here are some tips and insider information to consider.
Amman Duty Free
Surprising or not, the Amman duty-free shop in the airport is an excellent location to pick up goods. Whether you want a great price on a bottle of liquor, perfume, or something else of this nature, the duty-free shop is not only a great chance to save money, but you’ll be able to pick up goods while leaving the country as well.
Pop Into the Souvenir Shops
Just about everywhere you turn there are souvenir shops. The great thing is many of these locations sell different items so you can find everything from pure olive oil to local snacks. You can get a pretty good vibe regarding the particular items for sale just by poking your head in. The quality of the items here are usually pretty good, too, so feel free to check the spots out. You can usually haggle for prices (unless there is a sign that says otherwise), so haggle to cut down the price.
Pick up Dead Sea Items
There are strict restrictions on an object being called “Dead Sea.” These are world-class items and are great for your skin. You need to check out a few of the best brands in the country, including Kawar, Re Life, Rivage, and Dolmen. So pick up what you can as many of these items are either not available where you live or come with a bloated price tag. You can even find some of the upper-tier brands available at the duty-free shops, should you discover you want more before heading out.
City Mall
The City Mall is the largest mall, not only in the country, but in the immediate region. It has over 150 different stores, not to mention a variety of restaurants and facilities within the mall. While it isn’t as large as what you might find in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, the City Mall is one of the best spots to go shopping for everything from high-end fashion to more traditional, less expensive options.
