Ayia Napa is famous for garage music, although R&B and hip-hop are also popular. All kinds of parties – pool parties, foam parties, paint parties – take place often.

The Old Wreck Inn

This is a great place for snacks in the day time and cocktails in the evening, catering to young and old alike. Major sports events are shown on TV, sometimes there’s karaoke, and sometimes the staff provides live entertainment.

Car Wash

The Car Wash is a great club with great music and a great DJ. Entrance is free before 1:45, but go to the Bull Dog next door for all-night free passes. Ladies dance on the bar all night, and there’s a cool DJ box that looks like a mini car.

Blue Moon Bar

When Grabbarna Grus closes at 1am, the Blue Moon Bar opens. It’s not a very big place and the ceilings aren’t very high. It’s nothing special really, but there’s good music, good drinks, friendly people and gorgeous Scandinavians. Wear as little as possible because it’s very warm in the bars in Ayia Napa. A lot of guys don’t even wear a shirt at all, and most girls wear small tops or bikinis, depending on the theme of the night.

Insomnia

This is the place to go if you are hardcore. It opens at 5 am and shuts down at around 9 or 10 am. The first hour is the hardest to get through, but if you can manage it, then you’re off! The garage bands and musicians head there after parties and mingle with the crowd.
