Passads

In the Visayas Region, public transportation occurs aboard vehicles like passads and jeepneys. Passads differ from the jeepneys, a long type of jeep, in that passads are slightly longer and rectangular. Jeepneys usually have a curved body. It’s more economical to ride the public transportation than to hire a taxi or van, and it’s not uncommon to see a dozen or more individuals riding aboard one of these two types of vehicles.

Car Rental

If want to tour the city on your own, a good idea is to rent a car and drive anywhere from Bacolod to the nearby city of Silay. There are also a number of other of towns you can visit in the province. One advantage to renting a car is that you have the freedom to explore the historic and tourist sites without many restraints. If you talk with any reputable company, they’ll be happy to rent and provide a vehicle for you, sometimes right from the moment you arrive in the city.

Airport Shuttle

You will save a lot of money if you ride the shutlle service from Silay airport into the city. It’s more cost effective than taking a taxi. The shuttle takes no more than a half hour to arrive in Bacolod, and you’ll find many shuttle services waiting outside the airport exit.
