One of Canada’s most popular resort towns, Banff is located high in the Rocky mountains. This small town is home to lots of fun clubs and many lively bars.

Banff Avenue

The best place to find nightclubs is along Banff Avenue. This is one of the main drags in the towns. During the evening, bars and nightclubs open up to welcome vacationers and those locals who just want a drink after work. Karaoke is a popular pastime along with line dancing and darts. This part of town tends to attract a younger clientel including many college kids here in spring break as well as those working a summer at the nearby national park.

Places for a Meal

Banff offers many places for a great late night meal. Steak and potatoes are the order of the day along with locally caught fish and game. Head for the local Irish pub to try out some new ales. There’s also several pizza places in town offering pizza well into the night. Live music is the order of the evening at several bars along with meals. Listen to jazz or rock from live bands on weekends and often a few nights during the week. Cheer on your favorite hockey team at the bar and then head upstairs in many places for a chance to play pool or foosball.

A Word of Caution

While a good time can be had right in the middle of town, remember that alcohol is metabolized differently because of the altitude.
