Bangalore Nightlife
When visiting Bangalore you owe it to yourself to step out for a night on the town. Bangalore is truly a unique destination. You’ll instantly fall in love with what it has to offer, the culture and the exceptional destinations. One of the best ways to do this is to enjoy the nightlife, here are a few of the most enjoyable and recommended spots in the entire city.
Chowdiah Memorial Hall
Interested in taking in a local concert or performance? The Chowdiah Memorial Hall is the place to go. The building itself is named for a famous Indian violinist. The entrance itself is shaped like the scroll and neck of a violin as well. You’ll need to check the performance schedule while in town, but if you get a chance, it is highly recommended to check out production, show, performance or anything else taking place while you visit.
Manchester United Sports Bar
Do you love soccer/fooseball/football? If so, the Manchester United Sports Bar is the place for you. Here you can watch your favorite team in action. Even if you are more of a Premiere League fan over the teams in India, chances are you can watch a game here. While you won’t find as many games presented on television here from the United States, you may be able to see a handful. There is also quality food and drinks, which makes it a great spot to just kick back and have fun for a few hours.
UB Tower
This is the tallest commercial property in all of Bangalore. It has four connected towers within the building. On the 16th floor of one is the Skyye Lounge. This is one of the most famous bars not only in the city but the entire country. There are also a handful of different pubs and lounges spread throughout the UB Tower complex as well. If you wish to join, make sure you dress in a smart casual or business casual attire. You don’t need to deck yourself out, but don’t show up in a t-shirt and flip-flops, as many of the lounges will not let you in.
There is a shopping mall within the complex and even an elevated rail system so you can easily move on from the tower to your next stop.
Legends of Rock
Now this little joint can be fun. It is a step above hole in the wall in terms of size, but not much bigger. That is part of the atmosphere that makes it though. On top of it, all of the music is centered around 90s and early 2000 rock. So if you are a rock fan and want a crisp beer to help cut the nighttime heat, this is the spot for you. Plus, there’s no dress code, so if you had your flip-flops on and tried the UB Tower, head on over to Legends of Rock.
