Explore the Water

To get a close-up look at the entire Biloxi region, start with a trip on the Living Marine Adventure Cruise boat. The small cruise boat will bring you between the coast and Deer Island. Along the way, you can learn about the local coastal wildlife including the area’s abundant large shrimp, native blue crabs, savory oysterfish and squid. If you love fishing, you can also get a boat that will take you out for a day on the waters so you can catch your own fish. Dolphins are also plentiful here, and you can take a cruise to get up close and personal with these magnificent mammals.

Touring the Land

If you want to get back on dry land, take a tour of the local historical sites. The Biloxi Visitors Center offers a comprehensive self-guided tour that will allow you to explore the city on your own. Here, you can see the elegant City Hall, the gaily-decorated historic Creole Fisherman’s Cottage, and the softly painted antebellum house known as the Redding House. Also on the tour are the elegant southern classic Scherer House, the charming Old Biloxi Library, and the Saenger Theater where you can catch many kinds of performances by the day and at night.

Beaches and Casinos

The beach part of Biloxi occupies only a small part of the state and the gulf but it is beautiful. The Back Bay area offers a serene chance to dip your toes in the water. Here you’ll find lots of wildlife such as fish, turtles and even alligators. This is also the place to spot planes taking off from the nearby Kessler Air Force Base. You can rent a skiff and plot your own path along the less-visited part of the area. If you love gambling this is the place to be since it’s legal.
