Are you participating in an office fantasy football league right now? Might want to check your workplace policy on gambling and see if its as harsh as the TSA’s. TSA administrators recently disciplined 62 employees at Pittsburgh International Airport (according to Jaunted.com, that’s about 20 percent of the total TSA workforce at the airport) for workplace sports gambling.
This doesn’t seem to be a hardcore gambling ring either. CBS Pittsburgh reports that the employees were betting on big sporting events occasionally throughout the year, such as the Super Bowl, March Madness, etc.
The gambling reportedly didn’t have any impact on airport security, but five agents involved are facing termination, 47 might get suspension, and 10 received letters of reprimand.
