Carnival returns to New Orleans with low fares

Carnival will once again cruise from New Orleans, beginning October 26. To welcome cruisers back to the Louisiana port, Carnival is offering fares from $279.

The Fantasy will sail four-night cruises to Cozumel, Mexico, and five-night cruises to Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico. The Fantasy can carry 2,056 guests and offers three restaurants, three swimming pools, a waterslide, a spa, and an Internet cafe.

Next year, Carnival will add a second ship to its New Orleans roster. The Carnival Triumph will sail seven-night Caribbean cruises beginning September 2, 2007. Prices start at $429 per person.
