At the ripe old age of 12, Carnival’s Fascination eyed her newer fleetmates and started to feel unhip and out-of-date. Luckily for her, parent company Carnival is coming through with a multimillion-dollar makeover to give the Fascination a more modern look.
This September, the Fascination will head to drydock for 35 days. When she emerges, she’ll sport a nine-hole miniature golf course and a patisserie on her Promenade Deck. New children and teen areas, an art gallery, Atrium Bar, and redesigned Internet and conference facilities will also grace her decks. In addition, Carnival plans to update the ship’s spa with new treatment rooms and exercise equipment, as well as refurbish cabins with new decor and remodeled bathrooms.
The Fascination sails three- and four-night cruises to the Bahamas, Florida, and Mexico out of Miami. That means if you want to check out the ship’s new look this fall, you won’t have to use all your vacation time and budget to do so.
