If I got a $55 million makeover, I would look stunning with a new hairstyle, fancy makeup, and designer clothes. An extravagant makeover is sadly not in the cards for me because Celebrity’s Century is the lucky girl. The ship is now in drydock, where she’ll stay for five weeks. Then she’ll head off on her Europe itineraries looking all glamorous.
Among the updates, the Century will receive a new specialty restaurant called Murano. The dining area will be decorated with Murano glass and designed to represent an Italian piazza. In addition, the two-level Grand Restaurant will be completely renovated. Fourteen new suites, 314 new verandas, 10 new staterooms ranging from inside to veranda category, and an expanded number of ConciergeClass category staterooms will also be added.
Additional dining options will include a sushi bar; stations for made-to-order omelettes, pasta, and ice cream sundaes; the outdoor Sunset Bar; and the Cova Cafe coffeehouse.
If you want to make reservations for the “new” Century, visit Celebrity’s website or call 800-647-2251 or a travel agent.
