I started this vacation visited long lost friend in crieff, scotland, a beautiful place and made me hungry to see much more of scotland on next trip.

Liverpool, old home town, had the music festival on and it’s free, doesn’t happen often when on holidays. The liverpool museum great, especially for music and football fans.

Off to my dream, happy potter, and definately a must see for fans, spend the day or a couple of hours it was the highlight of my trip, they even had stools for rent, free for those of us who can’t stand for 2 or more hours.

Then on to cardiff, wales for dr. Who exhibit and found a city with a great castle and a heritage site, st. Fagans, and music, as welsh choir.

St. Fagans was fantastic, heritage homes all moved to one site and a manor house and italian gardens to boot, a days worth of sites and home made food. Definately worth a visit, just don’t rely on the buses to bring you back, as they stop during the day and you need a taxi back to cardiff, but very reasonable rates.

The castle covers many interests from dad’s army, war shelters and much more, didn’t get to main part of castle as filming taking place, make sure you walk the walls, lovely.

Didn’t have time to go to listen to welsh choir but was allowed to go to practice, a great and friendly bunch of buys, and they all played rugby too.

Everything was within walking distance, hotels, restaurants, castle, shops an unexpected delight.

Finished off in poole, u.K. Every tuesday in summer motorbikes, thursday fireworks, excellent and friday old cars, this covers most interests, their was even a retro week-end, great to see 50’s styles and music. Great jumping off place for castles, manor houses, jurassic boat ride and more.
