Rats, foiled again! Royal Caribbean thought it was making headlines when it announced earlier this month that all its ships would be [% 2290102 | | trans fat free %] by the end of the year. But, Crystal Cruises one-upped the mainstream line by revealing that its ships are trans fat free as of right now.
Crystal’s chefs have exchanged trans fats for healthier oils such as sesame seed, pumpkin seed, walnut seed, corn, and olive oils. The cruise line has made the change for both passenger and crew menus. It’s even looking to provide more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains to keep its crew members eating healthily.
If you’re looking for healthy dining at sea, now’s the time to book a Crystal cruise. Your trans-fat-free Royal Caribbean sailing will have to wait another 12 months.
