What’s the newest trend in onboard spa treatments (and I don’t count teeth whitening)? Spa services for men. The Freedom of the Seas introduced a barbershop for men to get shaved and groomed, and the spa on the Crown Princess offers shaves, massages, hair styling, and skin treatments designed exclusively for men.
The latest line to target men as spa customers is Crystal. The cruise line has seen a 20-percent increase in male spa visitors, and its Elemis spa has now launched the “Time for Men” spa therapies.
Go in for a shave and come out with a massage. Crystal’s “Deep Cleanse Grooming Treatment with Shave” combines a face and scalp massage with a deep-pore cleansing mask and a shave. The “Pro-Collagen Grooming Treatment with Shave” pampers guys with an anti-aging facial and a massage of the head, scalp, hands, and arms.
If I were a guy, I would totally want to get rid of my five o’clock shadow with a massage. But a frangipani hair treatment? You’ve got to be kidding.
