Travelers heading to or from Washington, D.C., through Reagan/National Airport can expect major ground travel disruptions and delays through July 18. Trains on both the Blue and Yellow lines will suspend operations on two track segments:
- Trains are not operating from the airport to further stops in Virginia through Monday, July 11. Instead free shuttle buses will operate from the Airport station to Braddock Road, where rail service resumes.
- Trains will not operate from the airport to the city center Tuesday, July 12, through Monday, July 18. Instead, shuttle buses will operate from the airport station to Pentagon City, and many travelers will undoubtedly take taxis.
Both closures are to permit heavy track maintenance. Check wmta.com for more details.
