Planning a trip between New York and either Boston or Washington, D.C.? Delta has an offer that could be a difference-maker: quintuple bonus miles.
Through July 26, members of the Delta SkyMiles and Northwest WorldPerks programs can earn 2,500 bonus miles for each one-way Delta Shuttle flight between New York and Boston or Washington, D.C. That’s in addition to the 500 miles normally earned, so you’ll earn 6,000 miles for a round-trip shuttle flight—more than you’d snag for flying cross-country.
Together with the bonus miles, Delta is also touting “New Low Fares” on its shuttle ticket prices. But as [% 3228002 | | reported here %] by SmarterTravel’s Christine Sarkis, the discounts are limited to pricey walk-up fares.
While there are plenty of alternative airlines and airports for travel between the New York, Washington, and Boston areas, Delta’s most direct competition on the affected routes comes from US Airways’ own shuttle service. But until US Airways matches this bonus-mile offer, there are five times more reasons to choose Delta.
