Dramamine-N Review: A Must-Have for Nausea-Free Travel

Whale-watching trips, airplane rides, road trips, subway rides, watching a screen too long—you name it, I’ve probably gotten sick doing it. I’ve tried many of the motion sickness remedies on the market, so I was interested in learning more about the new Dramamine-N formula that claims to specifically prevent nausea and not other motion sickness symptoms. I tested Dramamine-N’s Multi-Purpose and non-drowsy formula, which aims to prevent nausea from various daily activities, including commuting and using screens. I also tried the Long Lasting formula, which works to stop nausea for long periods of time.

Dramamine-N Review:

Price and Where to Buy: $11 for the Dramamine-N Multi-Purpose formula and $10 for the Dramamine-N Long Lasting formula on Amazon.

How Dramamine-N Rates:

  • Usefulness: 9/10. The Multi-Purpose formula is made of ginger, so it’s easy to take the recommended two tablets a day without worrying about my liver health. I’ve taken it before hopping on the subway to work, and it feels wonderful to step out of the station and not feel dizzy. The Multi-Purpose formula also prevents me from getting headaches when I stare at a computer screen all day. You only need to take one tablet of the Long Lasting formula per day, and I started feeling sleepy about an hour after I took it. This was great because it put me right to sleep on a red-eye flight, but otherwise, I tend to avoid drowsy pills.
  • Value: 10/10. You can’t put a price on not feeling sick, and Dramamine-N is cheaper than a lot of other motion sickness remedies.
  • Portability & Durability: 6/10. Both Dramamine-N formulas come in small boxes with foil packets to punch the tablets out. Other motion sickness medicines come in reusable tubes, which are much quicker to use and easier to carry around.
  • Cool Factor: 8/10: It’s pretty cool not to get sick when you travel, commute, or use screens. However, the only time I find drowsy medicine useful is on red-eye flights.

Final Verdict: For travelers who want to sleep, the Dramamine-N Long Lasting formula is a great option. The Dramamine-N Multi-Purpose formula is excellent anytime you want to prevent or alleviate nausea symptoms.
