If you’ve ever traveled for an important event where you want to look glam (like a destination wedding), you know that trying to do your hair with the weak wall-mounted hotel hair dryer can be a struggle that leaves your strands fried and frizzy. However, packing a hair dryer, straightener, brushes, and other tools isn’t practical when you’re trying to travel light.
Fortunately, there’s a solution for your travel hairstyling needs: The Dyson Airwrap Multi-Styler.

What is the Dyson Airwrap Multi-Styler Complete Long?
The Dyson Multi-Styler Complete Long set is a system that includes a hair dryer and six attachments: two sizes of curling barrels, round brush, firm smoothing brush, soft smoothing brush, round volumizing brush, and a Coanda smoothing dryer.
The set also comes with a carrying case to keep everything neatly organized.
What Makes the Dyson Airwrap Different?
The Dyson Airwrap uses a modified version of the motor that powers its famous vacuums along with a unique technology called the Coanda effect that relies on air, rather than high heat, to style and dry hair.
The Airwrap has three airflow speed settings, four heat settings (including a constant cold shot), and uses negative ions to help reduce static in hair. It also measures temperature over 40 times a second to always keep the heat under 302 degrees, preventing the heat damage that other hair tools can cause.
The Dyson Airwrap is a versatile tool that can be used as a blow dryer, hair straightener, curler, and blow dryer brush.
How Does the Dyson Airwrap Measure Up?
Ease of Use: 8/10
The Dyson Airwrap is really easy to use straight out of a box to dry your hair or to give yourself a sleek blowout that’s easier than trying to juggle a dryer and round brush on your own.
The curling tools require a bit more practice to get the hang of—fortunately, Dyson offers a free one-on-one virtual consultation with a Dyson Stylist to help you get the most out of your new purchase.
The attachments are very easy to use (they automatically lock into place with a sliding lock/unlock button).
Cost: 8/10
The Dyson Airwrap’s price tag seems high at first, but when you consider that you’re getting six tools for the price of one, the cost seems more reasonable.
Portability: 9/10
Most hair dryers weigh over 2 lbs, but the Dyson Airwrap is just 1.5 lbs, making it great for travel. You can also buy a travel pouch, a heat-resistant carrying case that holds the styler plus three attachments, to make it even easier to pack.
Results: 10/10
After using the Dyson Airwrap, I can confidently say that it’s worth the money. The difference this tool has made on my hair has been incredible. My hair looks healthier, shinier, and smoother after drying (thanks to the lower heat) and the attachments make it really easy to create a variety of styles.
I can have my hair completely dried in under 10 minutes, and styled in 15-20 minutes, which is a huge improvement over other hair tools.
Dyson Airwrap Pros:
- Six tools in one
- Less damaging to hair compared to other heat styling tools
- Quieter than other blow dryers
- Helps eliminate frizz
- Easily achieves a sleek blowout
- Lightweight
Dyson Airwrap Cons:
- The Dyson Airwrap is not dual-voltage, so it can only be used at home, on domestic trips, and to destinations that have the same voltage as the country in which you purchased it.
- Some of the attachments can take a bit of practice to learn how to use.
- The price point is a serious splurge for many people.
